About the Print/Graphics Design role...

This high street supplier is looking for a Ladies Graphics Designer. And must have a fashion flare be trend aware, quirky but commercial who can also be Creative and dynamic, to work UK and international accounts

This is a truly exciting opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding business and dynamic team. Must be able to work at a fast pace, be well organised, confident. Also good presentation and communication skills are a must for this role.

About you…

It is essential the successful candidate must have a good track record designing graphics / prints for high street jersey accounts. The designer must be confident and able to work within a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for the commercial market and a strong portfolio of work relevant to the high street.

Key skills require:

* Ability to produce accurate and clearly understandable artwork specs

The ideal candidate must be an established designer who is confident working in a fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable working from concept through to final product and then liaise with the buyers as you will be responsible for the account specifically. The current opening is for the Junior Denims area and the requirement would be for someone that has 7+ years' experience in Junior and Denim apparel and has managed a team to put together a line and handled independently Fabric development, Wash development and CAD for Print and Embellishment. The person should have good experience in Market Research and be able to coordinate with the Design Teams of the major retailers we supply to.

Main responsibilities...

- Bachelors degree holder in Fashion Design or Product Development, with a minimum 7 years relevant experience in Design & PD for Junior & Denim Apparel.

- Exposure and experience working with the US markets.

- Confident in managing and maintaining customer relationships and managing projects

- Strong organization and communication skills - ability to collaborate with multiple departments to achieve company objectives

- Excellent market knowledge and trend awareness with an elevated taste level with the ability to translate this to commercial products appropriate for specific customers.

- Firm understanding of fabrication and trims

- General to advanced understanding of garment structure and specs

- Proficient in Adobe AI, Photoshop and MS office applications

My client is looking for someone who has several years' experience across several Ateliers and can work on more Complex & Couture designs. Someone who has experience cross-country and who has worked on special projects/VIP work is desirable.

About the Role…

  • Create Patterns & Toiles from scratch based on intricate designs, meeting the requirements and ensuring they are completed to the highest standard.
  • Work on Couture/VIP Work, having creative input based on your previous knowledge of Bespoke.
  • Work closely with the Design & Atelier team ensuring a smooth process throughout and highest level of craftmanship.

About You…

  • 7+ Years of pattern cutting experience.
  • Experience with Couture.
  • Sound knowledge of all pattern cutting techniques.
  • Managed Junior Pattern Cutters previously.
  • Having worked in Ateliers across the world is desirable.
