Key Account Manager

A recognisable name in the denim industry, my client is a supplier that has a strong customer base, consisting of high street retailers in the UK. The trend led company is currently looking for a driven Key Account Manager who is passionate about product to join their team and really push and drive the business forward.

The Role:

  • Approach Buyers across etail, retail and discount stores to arrange meetings

  • Identify areas of growth for the business and really drive it forward by generating new ideas and opening new accounts

  • Manage the development process for Buyers each season by working closely with the design team

  • Responsible for the price negotiation process between the factory and Buyers, ensuring the desired margins and targets are achieved

  • Oversee the critical path with the support of product development and merchandising teams to ensure all specific requirements are adhered to

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have proven denim sales experience working in a similar Key/Senior Account Management role for a supplier to both UK and International retailers and the ability to build successful relationships

  • A strong commercial eye and the ability to foresee potential opportunities and use them to grow the business

  • Established and credible buying contacts who you are confident approaching to open new accounts with

  • Excellent negotiation skills, a decisive character and the command to implement new ideas quickly and efficiently

  • Tenacious, confident and resilient, with a sales driven attitude

  • Must be willing to travel internationally/in the UK and own a car, as head office is in a remote location near High Wycombe
