ASSISTANT PRODUCT DEVELOPER - Accessories

ABOUT THE COMPANY


This iconic well known brand is currently recruiting for an Assistant PD for their Accessories team. The role is maternity cover up until December 21 st with a view to becoming permanent dependent on circumstances

ABOUT THE ROLE

Role

Key Responsibilities:

To assist in the development and execution of seasonal collections that fulfils both the requirements of the Designer(s) and the Product Manager

To ensure accuracy of all information held on the system ensuring efficient management of style information throughout the business

Main Duties:

Working with the Product Development team to build and maintain design packages, accurately communicating our requirements to the supply base.

Fabric, trim and leather sourcing as applicable - working closely with the designers to ensure fabrics and components achieve both their requirements and those of the business (commercially viable, leadtimes, testing parameters etc)

To attend and actively contribute to design/development meetings up to SMS delivery

Day to day maintenance of the critical path (range plan) is vital for both the product development and planning departments. This should be maintained at all levels, from style information to merchandising codes, labelling and pricing

Setting up SMS and bulk style codes in BOS (in house PLM system)

Ensuring product kit codes are correct in the in-house system and ordering of care labels for SMS

Comparative shopping reports - when required, to provide the Product Manager with reliable up to date information to enable the commercial building of our wholesale price architecture

Seasonal Wholesale and Retail sales analysis - when required, to understand current product and market performance within the business to help build the seasonal range

Manage and execute the critical path for the seasonal cad brochures

To support the setting up and management of the Global Sales Conferences each season

It's an ideal opportunity for someone having recently finished university and looking for an opening to get into the industry with a reputable Brand.

Essential requirements for role:

- Related work experience - minimum 1 year
- University degree preferred
- Photoshop/Illustrator knowledge preferred
- Understanding of product construction and manufacture advantageous
- Clear and precise written communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Ability to use own initiative
