The role

My client is looking for a Product Developer to join their team, and bridge the gap between the Design and Technical teams. This is a newly created position within the brand offering an excellent opportunity for an organised and ambitious person to set up and maintain the best practice processes that will facilitate the coordination and development of our range each season. You will be working within a small, fast-paced team as well as working closely with our teams in Hong Kong and Shanghai. You will be involved in, and responsible for all stages of the development and production process

Major responsibilities

- Working closely with the Design Team to coordinate and develop the range from Proto samples to Production

- Ordering and allocation of trims and fabrics from the mills, for sampling and bulk production.

- Arranging and tracking lab dipping progress with each supplier to ensure no delays to sampling and production

- Sample Management with manufacturers - driving timelines to a production and web drop schedule / critical path.

- Liaising with the Garment tech to prioritise fitting samples to ensure on time delivery for production

- Coordinating quality control of all bulk materials

- Communicating daily with the factories

- Ability to create and maintain critical path

- Working alongside the production department, assisting in general day-to-day administration of the department

- Approving care labels and reviewing fabric test reports - troubleshooting issues.

- Attending all fit sessions and working with the Design and Technical teams to ensure that each garment is fitted and constructed to a high standard

- Creating and managing the critical path to ensure that products are delivered in line with sales calendar.

- Liaising with shipping and manufacturers to ensure on time shipment/delivery of products

Experience and Technical Skills:

- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar Fashion Product Development role

- Educated to degree level (preferably in relevant field of study)

- Extensive knowledge of diverse fabrics and trims

- Knowledge of garment specifications and fitting

- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office

- Basic Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
