Digital design manager

ABOUT THE COMPANY


Our client, global Asian luxury company, is looking for a senior Digital design manager to create and deliver the most engaging and connected online shopping experience of the company.

Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Creative Director, the person will manage the print and digital design team (5 people), ensuring all content, graphic design and creative in store and online across China and Hong Kong regions are aligned, authoritative, innovative and radiant

- Deliver a unique feel and point of view on fashion, beauty and lifestyle for the digital presence that is fresh, distinct and easily recognizable by visitors and customers, driving brand engagement and ultimately sales.
- Generate ideas with the Content team to communicate weekly Editorial stories with clarity

- Take a holistic approach in concepts to maximize the use of created assets across available online communication channels (site, social media, emails) as well as potential multichannel applications

- Work with templates and initiate new and improved layouts and interaction

- Implement excellent layout and typography skills aligning all design elements

- Prepare all designs to be development ready, ensuring developers are clear on delivery and expectation (layout, devices, animations/transitions etc.)

- Strong participation in image sourcing for designs, either through paid content or contacts

Site and Digital Platform Design

- Develop and frame creative concepts according to creative/product brief requirements and have a strong understanding of communication objectives

- Demonstrate a user centric approach from concepts to wireframes/mock up and prototyping / delivery

- Design new pages, concepts and functional features to be development ready, ensuring developers are clear on delivery and expectation (layout, devices, animations/transitions etc.)

- Implement and maintain guidelines on styles and layout to support design activities

- Take a holistic approach in concepts and visual user interface designs to maximize the use of created assets across available online communication channels (site, social media, emails) as well as potential multichannel applications

- Support weekly production of emails and other designed collateral

- Work on designing and producing creative assets

Planning and Communication

- Manage Digital and Print Designers and work closely with content production and content writers to ensure artwork is connected and on brand

- Work within Brand Creative team to develop concepts for projects and programmes in line with commercial and brand requirements

- Work with technology and design team on responsive design for tablet and mobile

- Ensure timely delivery of all creative, design and web pages output within daily and weekly schedules as agreed with Digital Production team

- Support Regional Hong Kong Marketing team with art direction, guidelines and templates, and closely gate keep all signage, EDMs, activations, GWPs that are created

- Have weekly conference call with Regional China team for direction, support and sign off on all marketing collaterals

About you

- Experience working for luxury/premium multi-brand companies

- 3/5 years of experience leading a digital design

- UX-UI design

- Typography, Web Design, Page Layout

- E-commerce experience

- Strong fashion and luxury aesthetic

- Print and Digital design experience
