Senior Merchandise Planner Accessories

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading ladies fast fashion retailer as Senior Merchandise Planner Accessories. The role will manage 3 people and will report into the Head of Merchandise Planning Management & Analyitics.

General Responsibilities:

  • Train, teach and develop your team members

  • With the support of your team members:

  • For each phase of the collection build the right assortment by integrating the conclusions of the previous season (analysing the market specificities, the performance by sub-category and product attribute, …) and by integrating the last trend indications.

  • Calculate and propose a financial plan based on the ideal assortment plan that was defined (weekly takings plan, intake margin, markdown & discount and gross profit)

  • Calculation of quantities for new products

  • Management of OTB and level of stock

  • With the support of the Operation Team allocate the products to the right stores

Main Tasks:

  • Analyzing current business, historical results and market trends to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and creative solutions to maximize business results

  • Advanced analytics on the previous season in order to define the lessons learnt and support the plan for new season

  • In collaboration with buyers, definition of the ideal assortment for the each phase of the next season, based on lessons learnt from past season and integration of the new trend indications

  • Validation of your Ideal Assortment with Management

  • Establish the new Financial plan matching with the ideal assortment (weekly takings plan, intake margin, markdown & discount and gross profit)

  • Quarterly validation of your Financial Plan with the Management

  • Weekly update of the financial budget, integrating the management of the Open To Buy

  • Weekly budget meeting with Head of Merchandise Planning

  • Calculate the quantities to buy for each article, based on historical data and inputs from Buying team

  • Managing and executing promotional and clearance pricing to optimize performance and global sell through

  • Organizing, interpreting, and preparing data for presentation in key business meetings

  • Actively participating in business meetings to influence strategy and drive results in your categories

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in order to get the best out of them

  • Oversee the career and skill development of your team members with a focus on training, retention, and building bench strength.

  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Merchandising, Store teams, Marketing, Visual and others to drive business results.

  • With your allocators make sure that we allocate each product at the right place by analyzing the past performance of similar style or by analyzing the key attributes that could impact the sales
